The Deschênes Rapids, location of the Aylmer hydro ruins on Quebec side. The rapids flow through the concrete remains of the region's first hydroelectric plant. While these are a historic landmark, they were slated for demolition in late 2023 due to safety concerns, though local groups have fought for their preservation.
